BECOME A FOSTER
Do you often feel overwhelmed with the issues facing our community today? Homelessness, mental health, addiction, poverty and domestic abuse hurt every one of us and weaken the communities we live in.
If you love animals we have a unique and powerful way of being a part of the solution to stability for many families - become a foster home!
Having a pet is a barrier to many services families need. Have you ever tried job hunting in the middle of summer with the only place to leave your pet is in your car? Have you ever faced a medical issue requiring hospitalization but had no one to take care of your pet?
While it may be easy to say that someone should just give up their pet it is not easy for a person in crisis to actually do so. And for most, a temporary crisis doesn't need to require a permanent break-up of a family.
When we are in crisis we need every bit of strength and hope to keep us moving forward. By fostering you are allowing seniors to keep the only family they have, addicts to have a support system and responsibility when returning from treatment and domestic violence families a chance at a new life.
Beck's Place covers the full cost of veterinary care for animals in our Foster Boarding Program. If needed we can also supply you with supplies and food needed for the pet.
We currently have fosters located in Snohomish, King, Pierce and Kitsap counties. For more information on becoming a foster home please contact us at foster@becksplace.org or (425) 419-8992. Or, apply today at the link on this page!

CAN YOU FOSTER ME?

Dolshia (7 yo F/S) and Blue (3 yo M/N) are a bonded pair that we would like to keep together in foster. Neither dog has been around cats but have interacted with a wide variety of dogs both small and large without incident. They are good with kids and enjoy sitting and laying with people. Beck's Place will confirm vaccination records and bring up to date if necessary. Length of foster placement is approximately 3 months.

Lucky is hoping to get lucky and find a place to stay for approximately 2 - 4 months while his dad gets back on his feet. He is between 12 - 14 yo and is not neutered but the owner does consent to get that done which Beck's Place will arrange and pay for. Owner reports he is dog, cat and kid compatible, friendly and loves to play ball.
