BECOME A FOSTER
Do you often feel overwhelmed with the issues facing our community today? Homelessness, mental health, addiction, poverty and domestic abuse hurt every one of us and weaken the communities we live in.
If you love animals we have a unique and powerful way of being a part of the solution to stability for many families - become a foster home!
Having a pet is a barrier to many services families need. Have you ever tried job hunting in the middle of summer with the only place to leave your pet is in your car? Have you ever faced a medical issue requiring hospitalization but had no one to take care of your pet?
While it may be easy to say that someone should just give up their pet it is not easy for a person in crisis to actually do so. And for most, a temporary crisis doesn't need to require a permanent break-up of a family.
When we are in crisis we need every bit of strength and hope to keep us moving forward. By fostering you are allowing seniors to keep the only family they have, addicts to have a support system and responsibility when returning from treatment and domestic violence families a chance at a new life.
Beck's Place covers the full cost of veterinary care for animals in our Foster Boarding Program. If needed we can also supply you with supplies and food needed for the pet.
We currently have fosters located in Snohomish, King, Pierce and Kitsap counties. For more information on becoming a foster home please contact us at foster@becksplace.org or (425) 419-8992. Or, apply today at the link on this page!

CAN YOU FOSTER ME?

Teddy is a neutered 4 year old Shih Tzu mix who is described as calm and loves laps. Rosie is a one year old Doodle mix who will be spayed while in foster. She is described as a playful dog who loves being with other dogs.

Sativa is a 4 year old, un-spayed, Great Dane. Milo is a 10 month old, un-neutered mix. Both dogs are good around children and other dogs. Milo has been with Sativa for most of his life, it would be wonderful to keep them together.

Thor is a 7 year old, neutered male. Hazel is a 5 1/2 year old spayed female. Bandit is a 7 month old un-neutered male. Beck's Place would schedule and pay for Bandit's neuter surgery while in foster. It would be great if all three could go together but if they need to be split up, Hazel could go alone.
