BOARD
MELANIE RYAN
Melanie is Beck’s Place founder. After retiring from Microsoft, Melanie started her own business, MFR Coaching & Consulting.
Beck’s Place was born from her love of both people and animals and the community need for serving both holistically.
Melanie lives in Monroe, WA with her husband, daughter, two dogs, two cats and has one grown son.
BRIDGETTE TUTTLE
Bridgette has lived in Monroe since 2001 with her husband Tim, two now-adult children Tyler and Rylee, and her dog Margo. She owns and operates both Burnt Barrel Whiskey Bar and Monroe Pizza & Pints. She has been passionately involved in her community for more than a decade serving on Monroe’s City Council, Planning Commission, multiple advisory boards and committees at City Hall, as well as working on the Housing Hope Steering Committee, multiple PTA Boards and parent groups, and the Monroe Equity Council. She is also the founder of several groups that connect the residents of Monroe through social media.
A graduate of Snohomish High School, Bridgette attended college studying English and Literature at Eastern Washington University and later going through the Business School at Northwest University.
Bridgette loves animals and understands the true heart connection that our furry friends have with their humans. Her dog Maebe was rescued and dearly loved for twelve wonderful years. Maebe’s passing left the Tuttle family heartbroken and eventually open to foster-adopting Margo, a sweet little border collie from Texas. There is nothing like the bond and companionship between people and the animals who join them in their life journeys.
Bridgette believes strongly in the Beck’s Place mission to preserve families through fostering and is excited to serve as a board member.
SAM WIRSCHING
Sam Wirsching founded Sam’s Cats & Dogs, Naturally in 2005 in downtown Monroe. It was born of Sam’s love of pets and community. In the 16 years since he opened his doors Sam has been a tireless supporter of Monroe through his involvement on the boards of Sky Valley Food Bank, Monroe Public Schools Foundation, Evergreen Health Monroe Foundation, Rotary of Monroe, Monroe YMCA and countless involvement with a number of pet rescues, pet shelters, community groups, and schools.
Sam's interest in joining Beck's board was the connection between the need of some of the most vulnerable community members and the experience he has in supporting pet families.
When not working Sam is an avid Fantasy Baseball enthusiast and family man with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 2 kids, and 1 better half for the last 20+ years.
