BECOME A FOSTER

Changing a Family's Life

If you love animals and also want to help your community, Beck's Place has a powerful way of combining those passions to help keep people and pets together in times of crisis  - become a temporary home for a much loved pet in need!

Having a pet can be a barrier to many services that families in crisis need.  Have you ever tried job hunting in the middle of summer with the only place to leave your pet is in your car?  Have you ever faced a medical issue requiring hospitalization but had no one to take care of your pet?

A temporary crisis does not need to permanently break up a family.  Having a pet is a human right.  Keeping people and their pets together gives families the ability to focus on working toward stability in their lives.

When we are in crisis we need every bit of strength and hope to keep us moving forward.  By opening up your home to a loved pet you are:

  • allowing seniors to keep the only family they have

  • helping those with substance use disorder to have a support system and responsibility when returning from treatment

  • giving families experiencing domestic violence a chance at a new life.

Beck's Place covers the full cost of veterinary care for animals in our Foster Boarding Program.  If needed we can also supply you with supplies and food needed for the pet.

We currently have fosters located in Snohomish, King, Pierce and Kitsap counties.  For more information on becoming a foster home please contact us at foster@becksplace.org or (425) 419-8992.  Or, apply today at the link on this page!
